Two friends said to me, “We want you to make a new recording of the songs you have been playing live lately, so what can we do to make it happen?” That’s where it all began.

NOW I NEED YOU TO HELP ME FINISH THE ALBUM AND GIVE IT A REAL LIFE!

“THE CALLING” says it all- A calling to all my friends and fans who can Pledge to support what is shaping up to be the best work of my life in music.

Resources are precious and only through hard work and perseverance can a crowd funded project be the MOST SUSTAINABLE way for independent artists like me to make recordings, support touring, and get the albums into your hands.

I want this album to be made with authenticity rather than through compromise via large corporations.

WHAT YOU CAN GET
In exchange for Pledging, you will get the record FIRST, before stores or digital outlets. In addition, all kinds of exclusive videos, never released music tracks, the-making-of photo’s, instruments from my personal collection, trips with me to some of my favorite places, private shows, and all the love I can muster and more!

GIVING TO OTHERS
5% of the total Pledge amount funded will go to support a great charity I co-founded. This charity is committed to mentoring and funding education and health services for young adult survivors of childhood homelessness: The Grace Foundation of Texas.

FRIENDS HAVE ASKED ME…
Many folks approached me and asked, “How can I help spread the word?” We chose PledgeMusic in order to share the Album, via pre-order, and to present lots of fun content through our exclusive offers.

NO FEAR
I didn’t want to use the fear factor of having to reach a dollar goal in order to make the project happen or to receive your commitment.

I don’t want to scare people or stress out about reaching a goal, and though we have one, we want to attain it through love and trust and hard work.

I’ve made records in all sorts of ways, from Little Sister and Sister 7’s early independent releases to major label albums to angel investors, but mostly I have funded it myself.

A NEW BEGINNING
The birth of this release began with me and two dear friends. I am now asking that you pre-order the download, or a signed CD or t-shirts or concert parties and trips to acquire the remainder of the funding together so I can do a final master, print the CD’s, pay the band a living wage to travel to your towns, maintain the website and social media sites; as well as promote and market the album everywhere.

GETTING INVOLVED AND SPREADING THE WORD
You can pre-order the album, and come back and Pledge for any exclusives. I hope you will. I have a great band that wants to tour, and we have been making a record I’m proud of with an amazing producer, Mark Addison, whose work you will appreciate.
